Haida Gwaii: Eagle Transit

In partnership with Northern Health, Eagle Transit operates a bus service between Masset and Daajing Giids (formerly the Village of Queen Charlotte), Monday through Friday, except for holidays.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use the service?

This service is open to the public for general travel between Daajing Giids and Masset, however medical passengers will have priority. People traveling for medical reasons can bring a companion, if space is available.

Do I need to pre-book a seat?

Yes, please book your travel 48 hours in advance.

Is there a cost for the service?

There is no fee for medical travel. There is a $10 fee for the service for non-medical public travel, which will be collected by the driver.

How many seats are on the shuttle?

There are 10 passenger seats on the shuttle.

Where can I be picked up in the morning?

The shuttle leaves the Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital in Masset at 8:45 am, and picks up passengers at the following times and locations, enroute to Daajing Giids:

  • 8:45 am – leaves Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital, Masset
  • 9:45 am – Port Clements Medical Clinics
  • 10:15 am – Tlell post office
  • 11 am – Skidegate Health Centre
  • 11:10 am – BC Ferries

For the return trip, the shuttle leaves Haida Gwaii Hospital and Health Centre in Daajing Giids at 2:25 pm, enroute to Masset.

Do you pick up in any other locations other than the ones listed?

No, the shuttle will only pick up passengers at the listed locations (no highway pickup).

Do you run on statutory holidays? 

Yes, if needed.
